PowerLink’s unique, proven process includes a one-year Advisory Panel of business professionals who volunteer their time and expertise. These advisors help women gain a new perspective on strategy, profitability, operations, capital, sales and other issues critical to success.

PowerLink, a non-profit organization, serves businesses that have a woman acting as chief operating officer, are at least 51 percent woman-owned and operated for profit. The emphasis of the PowerLink advisory process is on teaching the owner to network, access capital, and implement best practices in her industry. PowerLink’s goal is to encourage women business owners to adopt either a permanent Board of Directors or an Advisory Board after the PowerLink year.

The national ATHENA Foundation recognized the effectiveness of the advisory panel process. In 1998, they bought the rights to the PowerLink process and established ATHENAPowerLink chapters throughout the nation.
