APPLY:
Apply to PowerLink to help your business grow To be eligible for PowerLink, a woman must own at least 51 percent of a for-profit business and act as the chief operating officer or equivalent. Successful candidates present clearly defined business objectives and explain how an advisory panel can help them attain these goals. PowerLink offers two programs, Protégée and Advisory Panels. We work with applicants to determine which program is most appropriate. Generally, to be considered for our Advisory Panels program, a company should be in business at least two years, have at least two employees and minimum annual revenues of $200,000. Candidates for our Protégée program need not meet these minimum criteria. Where can I get business advice if I do not qualify for PowerLink?Business owners who are interested in
a PowerLink program must submit a confidential application. PowerLink
reviews each business for suitability and coordinates an interview with
potential candidates. Companies are chosen based on their potential
to effectively utilize an Advisory Panel. Once selected, the business
owner works with PowerLink to identify areas of expertise required on
their panel. The business owner pays a program fee and
provides a suitable meeting place, business information as requested,
and meeting agendas. Professional businessmen and businesswomen who would like to make an impact on a growing business are encouraged to become volunteer PowerLink Advisors. Advisors will serve with other professionals on a panel that helps a woman business owner improve her management skills and her company operation. PowerLink Advisors attend one introductory and four quarterly meetings over the course of one year. It's a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in an entrepreneurial setting and see visible results. info@powerlink.org |
