Rampart Hydro Services |
| Beth Newbold, President/Owner | | There are many little girls who want to make it to The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts when they grow up. Beth Newbold, Owner of Rampart Hydro Service, did – but not in the way you might expect. As facilities manager at The Kennedy Center, she oversaw the hydrodemolition of the Center’s garage. Today she owns and operates a company devoted to hydrodemolition, a process involving the use of high-velocity water jets to remove or demolish concrete. Rampart Hydro Services specializes in the use of ultra-high pressure (UHP) water for hydrodemolition, surface cleaning and preparation, airfield rubber and paint removal, and highway-stripping removal. Two of Beth’s goals for her PowerLink year are to improve operational efficiency and to increase government contracting. |
